Margaritaville trip- who’s comin’?

Came across this advertisement in a magazine. I like it for some reason.

Maybe it’s appeal is the smokin’ corn and the attractive woman is doing something unattractive, not just eating, but tearing into grub.  It makes her more real, vs. some model.  Models, don’t eat corn I’m sure, but they probably drink “light” Margaritas!

It must have inspired my husband, too.  He went out and bought a whole bunch of white, corn.  We haven’t had smoked corn since the fair a few years ago.  We kind of forgot about this grain.  Perhaps it’s because our kids don’t like corn-on-the cob.

Despite our kids complaining, we’ve  settled on boiling some the last couple of days.  mmmm with butter and Lawry’s Seasoned salt and pepper!

Oops- this is an advertisement for Jose Cuervo.  Okay…cue Jimmy Buffett

Usually, I prefer my tequila straight in a shot- three get me feeling good if I’m actually in a partying mode, which is rare.  However, if we’re in Vegas…whoa…you thought I was going to share a story of Vegas?  (HaHa) You know the rule about Vegas…

However, if friends are making margaritas, I take mine on the rocks without salt.

How do you take yours?

On the rocks please. Nothing too fancy-just lime…with a corn nib hanging off the edge? That is one bizarre add!

That corn is more better for making stump water, use the tequila to light the fire.
